From late November through to March, the Rice Park will be draped with twinkling lights 24 hours a day, seven days a week with 15,000 energy-efficient LED lights and décor. Here you will find the historic Wells Fargo Winterskate outdoor ice-skating rink, which hosts several holiday events and Christmas décor throughout December.
A visit to the Christmas tree and holiday lights in downtown St. Paul’s makes for a classic Christmas tradition if you are visiting Minnesota for the first time. With the expansion renovations now complete, there will be expanded garden space, new walkways, and lighting. There is ample space to witness the Rice Park tree cutting and Winter Skate ribbon cutting on November 23, 2019.
Bentleyville Tour of Lights, Duluth
If you are heading north this holiday season, stop by Bentleyville in Duluth, Minnesota. Bentleyville is America’s largest, free walk-through Christmas light mn. The free attraction feature 20 acres of free-lighted displays next to a waterfront. The attraction relocated from Nathan Bentley’s home in Cloquet to the Bayfront Festival Park in Duluth. The new location has enough room for the 5 million Christmas lights, fire pits for roasting marshmallows, live music on the weekends, and Santa.
The free walk will be open from November 17 to December 26 to allow visitors to create delightful memories while enjoying complimentary hot cocoa, cookies, popcorns, and roasted marshmallows. You can take photos with reindeer, visit Santa to share your Christmas wishes, and listen to the tales of Mrs. Claus.
Kiwanis Holiday Lights
Kiwanis Holiday Lights will be holding the eighth annual Christmas display lights event between November 29 and December 31, 2019. The Mankato attraction features animated lights, displays of over 1.5 million Christmas lights and LED lights in a choreographed show, Santa Claus, skating rinks, horse-drawn wagon rides, live reindeer, and ice sculptures.
The transformation of Mankato into a winter wonderland builds on past traditions and helps serve the community by raising non-perishable food donations to the needy. If you are looking for something to take your kids or date, Kiwanis is the place to explore.
The Rotary Lights
With more than 3 million lights and hundreds of thousands of visitors, the Rotary Lights is one magical, large holiday display held annually in downtown La Crosse. The La Crosse Rotary lights are ushered in through a spectacular parade. Spectators delight in the animal and carriages decorated in Christmas lights as they march through the cavalcade and fireworks at the grand opening ceremony.
Rotary Lights features animated and twinkling light displays reflecting on the glassy surface of the Mississippi River and a 140-foot Christmas tree between 5 to 10 pm daily from November 29 to December 31, 2019. Besides the mirage of Christmas lights mn, you can have fun with Santa and his reindeer; view the lights via the carriage with horse-drawn carriages and skate in the glowing light through the Chad Erickson Ice Rink. Other featured fun activities at Rotary Lights include the 5km Ugly Sweater run amidst the twinkling lights that begins at 4:15 in Myrick Park and ends at Riverside Park.
Entry to the Rotary Lights is free. Still, visitors are encouraged to make voluntary donations of cash or non-perishable food items during the Live Nativity storytelling session or before leaving the park.
Sertoma Winter Wonderland
Sertoma Winter Wonderland features breathtaking lights that reflect off the sparkling white snows and spring into captivating displays. The winter wonderland experience was started by a group of Sertoman scouts, who desired to experience Christmas through a family tradition like no other. The spectacular holiday exhibition, which will be up for its 13th year between November 22 and December 31, will feature a driving tour through the Northland arboretum. The tour is themed with more than 60 animated MN Christmas lights in front of the lake.
In addition to the Christmas experience, The Sertoma Winter Wonderland at the Northland Arboretum gives you the opportunity to join hundreds of Sertoma volunteers to help the local communities through fundraising.
