NeighborhoodScout.com announced the 100 safest cities with a population of 25,000 or more people. The research factors the total number of property and violent crimes per 1,000 residents. Cities are given a grade from 0 to 100 (100 is safest). Therefore, a grade of 55 means that the city is graded safer that 55% of the cities in the United States.
